Hello scrappers,

Thank you so much everyone for all your support after announcing the closing of my store. I truly appreciated all your positive e-mails, phone calls or visits.

As much as it has been hard to make the decision to close SCRAPBOOKING GONE WILD, I am soooooooooooooo happy to be able to announce to all of you that another LOCAL SCRAPBOOK STORE WILL BE OPENING IN THE AREA. Yes, you read right...another store is opening.

I was approached after making my announcement by Elizabeth Henderson from St. Andrews. It is official...hopefully before the end of November, we will have another place to go shopping or scrapbook. They are hoping to open for the Christmas Season. I am sooooooooooo excited as I was panicking too. I couldn't imagine ordering all my supplies on line or not having a spot to go scrapbook when I need a night out.

Elizabeth and her husband Cory are very excited about their new adventure. She is hoping to send us updates on the store details (construction, products, hours of operations, etc). If you wish to receive her newsletters, you can send her an e-mail to this address:

Their temporary plan for store hours will be Thursdays from 10am-8pm and Saturdays from 9am-5pm. They will also open by appointment if requested. Since Elizabeth is opening in the next few months and she is taking all my supplies & display units, I have decided to close my store right away. I have a lot to do before school starts and I would rather have all the business stuff out of the way and be able to enjoy my son's 1st week of school without having to worry about my work. I hope everyone can understand this.

Scrapbooking Gone Wild coming to an end!!!

Hello scrappers,

It is with a very heavy heart that I have decided to close Scrapbooking Gone Wild September 2nd. Thursday September 2nd will be the last day Scrapbooking Gone Wild will be open as a store. My son is starting school this year, and as a family we have decided that this is the best decision for all of us. Between my own scrapbook hobby, photography, family time...I just can't give as much time as I would love to Scrapbooking Gone Wild. For those who know me very well, you can understand.

I have truly enjoyed these past 2 years helping all of you with all your scrapbooking needs. I will cherish all the friendships I have gained in the past few years. I sure hope our friendships don't stop here. I can't thank you enough for all your support throughout this amazing journey. I have loved inspiring all of you with my funky techniques and I hope to continue on my personal blog. I hope you will join me there, http://www.chantalanderson.blogspot.com/. After September 2nd, that is where you will be able to see my scrapbook creations & photography.

I am still interested in teaching a few scrapbook classes once & a while. I also hope to continue Friday Night Crops. I sure hope this is not a good-bye. If you are still interested in receiving a newsletter once & a while for classes or Friday night crops, please send me an e-mail to gonewild@nb.sympatico.ca . If I don't receive your e-mail by September 2nd, I will delete you from my e-mail list. I will only be sending newsletter through my e-mail account after September 2nd. The Scrapbooking Gone Wild blog will be closed as well after that date.

I am still attending the Tower Hill Crop September 25th with the supplies I will have left. I already have the goodie bags put aside for the event and a few door prizes. I am also still having my Fall Crop on October 23rd. I am really looking foward to our last crop together. I will be making a few small orders for those events. My Fall Crop is now full, but I am taking a waiting list. Just call me before Sept 2nd or send me an e-mail. My store phone will be disconnected Sept 3rd, so you will only be able to contact me by e-mail at gonewild@nb.sympatico.ca after that date.

OK so I know this means a CLEARANCE SALE...EVERYTHING MUST GO. For those of you who have been to my shop, you know I tried to give you the best prices possible. Well you can't get any better than cost price on most items. I have red tags everywhere. Any items without a red tag will be 40% off (excluding adhesives). All pattern paper is $0.60 and all cardstock is $0.30. I will be accepting DEBIT, VISA OR MASTERCARD until September 2nd. For the crops in the fall, I will only take cash or cheques.

Hello scrappers,

Our store will be closed Saturday August 7th of this week. We had so much fun camping last weenkend that our son wants to return. We will be going to St Andrews again but we will be going to the other campground.

We will be open for business tomorrow, Thursday August 5th, all day from 10:00 to 8:00.

Wasn't it nice to see the sun today???? It sure brighten my day. Are you celebrating Canada Day tomorrow???? We sure are!!! We are leaving first thing in the morning to head to Quispamsis and celebrate with family. Our store will be closed tomorrow (July 1st) and saturday July 3rd because we will be heading to Moncton tomorrow evening. Sorry for any inconvenience!!!

Thank you so much to all the 20 girls who came to our Summer crop last Saturday. I had so much fun!!! I hope you did too. Thank you to my wonderful husband who prepared all the amazing food for us (with my help of course...lol).

Summer is finally here. Don't you just love to scrapbook all those fun days of summer. I seem to have a lot more layouts during this season.

Join me Thursday June 24th for a 1 page layout class from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. We will be using lots of products including the new paper line from Basic Grey (Max & Whiskers), smooch, alcohol inks, distress crackle paint...etc. You will also receive your own set of grungeboard letters so you don't have to use the same title as me. I thought I would send you a sneek peak of what you will be doing. I need at least 6 people to go ahead with this class so sign up quickly.

Hi all, my name is Michelle Kerrigan from Saint John, NB and I am honored to be the Guest Design for Scrapbooking Gone Wild for June 2010. Being the type of person who struggles to buy anything online, I have to see everything in person to be able to touch it and see the true colors. I stumbled into SGW one Saturday afternoon. Chantal and I met, and instantly became friends. Don't you just love the warm welcome you get when you enter those doors and smell the paper....lol.

Scrapbooking for me began almost 6 years ago, and wow have things changed. I was just looking through some older albums I did a couple years ago this weekend and I had to giggle at my style back then. Everyday there are new products and ideas to inspire us, and inspiration is what I hope for when I design my pages. Inspiration for both myself and others to keep a memory for
our families and those to follow us.

My pages are mostly of the kids (1 boy which is mine and Rob's 3 daughters), however scrapping our travels is the most fun!! It's like I relive the memory every time I open a scrapbook and read the stories of our family....I hope our children do the same in years to come.

Also, I am excited to announce that I will have my first publication coming up in the Memory Makers Big Book of ideas due out in May 2011. Thank you for this amazing opportunity Chantal

There are a few girls from the Quispamsis area who come down once and a while for a road trip to Scrapbooking Gone Wild. Everytime they come down, they make it a full day. They stop at the falls, at the Country Market, come here and sometimes even go to Calais. What a fun day!!! Well they decided to make a little mini album of their road trip and I asked Beth Sears if she would share hers with us.

Scrapbook for Self Esteem!!!

Hello scrappers,

Saturday I voluntered at the SCRAPBOOK FOR SELF ESTEEM event at the St George Community Center. We had over 120 girls between the ages of 10 and 18. What a great day!!! I donated a large amount of scrapbook supplies so the girls could make a complete paperbag album. I also had a photo studio set up to take photos of all the girls so they could add the pictures to their little album they were making.

Other activities included in this event were make-up application, hair care tips, make your own skin care products, making instructions and so much more.

Thank you Kelly and Laura for organizing such a great event here in St George, NB.

Hi. My name is Tracey Taylor and it is my pleasure to design for Scrapbook Gone Wild this month. I am a French teacher by profession turned stay at home Mom. I have three beautiful little girls ages 4, 2 and 2 months. Scrapbooking quickly evolved from a slight interest to full blown passion after the birth of my first child. This wonderful hobby keeps me learning, working and teaching all the while preserving those everyday moments that make life special. I LOVE every minute.

Since Tracey is currently on the Scrap Within Reach design team, I thought it would be pretty cool to ask her to work with there new lines. She used "Urban Garden Collection". Wow!!! Did she ever create great layouts!!!

Spring Crop

So I have been going nonstop for the past weeks now trying to get ready for our SCRAPBOOKING GONE WILD crop last weekend. Well it was all worth it!!! I had such a wonderful time with all the girls that came. A huge thank you goes to my WONDERFUL HUSBAND, VANCE ANDERSON, who spend the entire time preparing the amazing food for us!!! I sure appreciate everything you do to make things so much easier for me...I love you lots!!! Another huge thank you goes out to BRENDA KERNIGHAN for all your wonderful help. It wouldn't be as successfull without all your help...thank you Brenda!!!

Creativity was certainly flying during the crop!!! Here are a few layouts from a few of the girls that were at the crop. I might just have to scraplift a few. What great inspiration!!! Thanks for sharing your creativity with us girls!!!

I am happy to present to you our April Guest designer: Lori Mitchell.

I am from Tower Hill, New Brunswick and became exposed to the world of scrapbooking through my membership with the Enterprise Women's Institute. Not too long after joining the women's group, I was helping at one of their fundraising events; the Tower Hill Crop, when I bought a "few" things to get me started. Shortly thereafter, I began my obsession with scrapbooking and its creative process.

Through scrapbooking, I have met some great people and made some wonderful scrapping friends (you know who you are Flip Flop Girls). I am delighted to have met Chantal and have become one of her regulars at her store, crops, and classes. My inspiration comes from learning new techniques, lurking on the web's blogs, and from spending time with those who are engaged in this wonderful hobby.

My darling and treasured nephews (Jarrett, Bradley, Richard and John) have, from the start, been featured on the largest number of my scrapbook pages. Having grown up with a camera pointed at them recording most everything they do, they know that Auntie Lori needs the shots for her scrapbooks. They have provided me with countless photographs and many happy moments and "incidents" to journal.

Soon, I will have a baby granddaughter to add to the mix. I can then play with more girly scrapbooking supplies, which will be a switch from the browns, blues, oranges and greens that I have been using for the past four years.

I am humbled to have been asked by Chantal to be a guest designer, as she is one of my greatest sources of inspiration and encouragement.

Lori was given the new Cosmo Cricket "Garden Variety" to create a few layouts. Wow!!! Did she ever create great layouts!!! I could see myself scraplifting these ones for sure.

She also decided to share with us these beautiful layouts using the Jillibean Soup papers. Isn't her work amazing!!!! Look at those gorgeous new flowers from Jillibean Soup!!!

I am sooooooooooo excited to announce that SCRAPBOOKING GONE WILD will have a GUEST DESIGNER each month starting now. Our guest designer will receive one of our new paper lines to create at least one layout or more.

I am happy to present to you our very first designer: BETH SEARS.

Beth lives in Quispamsis with her husband and their two wonderful 18 and 20 year old sons, Mitchell and Lucas and the best dog in the world, Riley. She started scrapbooking in 2001 and has been obsessed since day one! Beth and her husband enjoy marathon running and cycling, travel and spending time with their sons. All of those things make up the main subjects of her pages.

Beth has been a scrapbook class instructor and has been published over 30 times in magazines and books by Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers, Scrapbook Trends, Canadian Scrapbooker and Scrapbook and Cards Today.

Long before she took up scrapbooking she had an SLR camera and is currently shooting with a Nikon D80.

Her favorite lens is the 50mm 1.4 for getting great portraits of her family.

Beth says her favorite thing about scrapbooking is that it combines everything she loves: family, photography and creativity and the ability to capture her family moments in photos and words!!!

Beth used the Scribble Scrabble papers with some Pink Paislee stickers, the brackets were stamped and then cut out. Circles were made with scalloped punches. Don't you just love those flowers!!! Great layout Beth!!!

Hello Scrappers,

Well it's certainly been a busy past 2 weeks between going to Ottawa and our 1 Year Anniversary here at Scrapbooking Gone Wild.

How many of us get to follow our dream? Well I can truly say I have. I never imagined being able to work in the scrapbook industry. I truly love having a scrapbook store and teaching classes and especially inspiring others in this very special hobby. Last week, I celebrated Scrapbooking Gone Wild's 1 year anniversary. I had such an amazing week and am sooooo thankful to have met so many people in the past year.

Thank you so much to everyone who celebrated with me!!!!

I had such a fun time shopping at Multicrafts in Ottawa. I don't think I have ever seen that much Scrapbooking supplies in one spot. It was a nice change from shopping on line. I brought back supplies from certain companies that I don't normally order. I have pattern paper form Jillibean Soup, October Afternoon Christmas line, Bazzil cardstock...Looking foward to doing that again.

I actually feel a little silly right now. A friend of mine was in the store last night saying that I hadn't put the Sketch # 4 challenge up yet. I then said that I was a little disappointed because nobody had participated so I was rethinking if I still wanted to offer the challenge. I had asked that the title be Sketch # 3 for the layouts being uploaded and they were other titles so I thought nobody participated. But that's not all, I was only looking at the regular gallery never even thought of looking if layouts had been posted in the Sketch Challenge...and I actually set up that gallery...LMHO So that being said, we do have a Winner for our Sketch # 3. I am packing to leave for Ottawa Thursday morning. I am really looking foward to this short trip...a weekend away with my hubby. I am sorry I am a little late posting this week. I have been struggling to get everything done this past week (reorganize the store after Saturday's crop, unpack and price boxes, classes, scrapbook of course, organize my "1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY BASH"...and so much more).

Hello Scrappers,

I am looking outside and just realized how quickly time flies. The leaves are already all fallen from the trees and it's starting to get quite cool now. It is getting dark soooooooo early now.

Because of this H1N1 outbreak, we don't seem to go out as much so I have been scrapbooking like crazy. I have a few fun layouts of my son playing with his Pablo sprinkler and also eating ice cream which he loves.

Come and join me and lots of other people at the TOWER HILL ALL DAY CROP on November 14th from 9:00am until 9:00pm. The cost is $35.00 and the fee includes morning break, lunch and supper (all you can eat casseroles and homemade pies...yummmmmy. We will have the store set up there and we may even have a few demos and games. Please call as soon as possible Darlene McLaughlin at 466-3799 to reserve your spot. If they don't get the required numbers by the end of this week they may have to cancel, so let them know sooner than later.
If you know of any others out there that would like to crop for the day and not worry about laundry, cleaning, or making meals....let them know too!!!

Hello bloggers,

Well I have finally recovered from our FALL CROP WITH 60 LADIES. What an amazing time we had!!! The food was oooooooooooh so good, the company was great and laughs...well you will just have to come join us for the winter crop to see for yourself how much fun 60 ladies can have together.

And yes, there was more cartwheels...what did you think girls???? I am still able to do cartwheels. I know, I can't believe it.

I have to thank everyone who helped out in any way last weekend. You made it sooooo much easier for us. Thanks to everyone who helped set up the hall, thanks to ANITA DOSKAS for the amazing food, thanks to BRENDA KERNIGHAN for doing a great job with the store and thanks to JULIA CLEGHORNE for making awesome aprons for the store. Here is my favorite...obviously mine is a little more special. I also have 12 for classes, so girls you don't have to worry about getting durty anymore with all the cool products we use.

During the crop, I also gave a workshop on the Crafter's Workshop Templates. Wow girls, you did an amazing job playing with these templates. Here is just a few things you can do with them. Everything on this page was done with those templates. We still have a few on special so come in and check them out.

We decided to host a sketch challenge at the crop. Thank you KRISTINE DAVIDSON for designing a wonderful sketch. Add your layout using this sketch in the gallery and get a chance to win a prize. Make sure you upload it in the contest folder. You have until next Friday to participate in this challenge. Looking foward to seeing your layouts!!!!

Hello Scrappers,

I had so much fun playing with my paint dabbers last week to get ready for my 1st 1 hour technique class Saturday morning. It wasn't just basic techniques. We created Faux Marble background look on these tags, stamped with the dabber paints and painted a few different embellishments. We had lots of fun. I hope you will be able to join us for our next technique class this Saturday where we will play with Inks and Stamps...again not your typical techniques. Here is what we created last Saturday.

I used the Faux Marble technique on the layout we are doing Thursday night, "5 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT SUMMER". If you haven't registered yet, just send me an e-mail. I still have a few spots left. Here is a SNEAK PEEK of the layout.

We are back from our great vacation in Niagara Falls and African Lion Safari. We had such a fun time...i think I was more excited than my son at times. We saw the falls, lots of animals, went on rides and did a little sight seeing. Lots of fun!!!!

I have been scrapbooking like crazy in the last few weeks. I am getting lots done which is good. I really like a desk topper that I prepared for a class. The kits came from Ninabrook Designs. I just love it...perfect for a gift. Check out the calendar for details.

Hello scrappers,

I have been enjoying the nice weather, but you can already feel fall coming. This week has been much cooler and not as much humidity. We can finally sleep a bit better. Well I have been enjoying this past week...very busy but fun!!! I had my second Technique class last Thursday and I must say I am really enjoying these classes. I am looking foward to starting my 1 hour technique classes saturday mornings. Check out the calendar for details on classes!!!

Friday evening I gave my first basic photography class. WOW!!! It was such a great time and I got nice sunset pictures. Girls I hope you had as much fun as I did!!!

Hello scrappers,

SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE...after 2 months...LOL Aren't you just loving this sunshine. I know I sure am.

Well our technique class last Thursday was amazing!!! I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. It makes me feel great when people learn new techniques. I even learned a few extra technique while getting ready for it. I am always on the lookout for new techniques and new products to play with.
I think I will have to get some SCRAPBOOKING GONE WILD APRONS because this class was certainly messy...lots of products being used in just a little amount of time.

Products being used for this class were, inks, dabber paints, crackle paint, glimmer mist, accents and stamps. Lots of fun!!!! Looking foward to the next one!!!!

BACK FROM VACATION...

Hello scrappers,

I must say this past week has been one of our best vacations yet. We had sooooooooo much fun in Shediac...beach, Splash pad at Centenial Park, Moncton Zoo, a little shopping and more beach. We had really nice weather...had a hard time to sleep because it was sooooooooo warm. We were back home last Friday and had of more fun with our son. We set up his new pool we bought him and he spent a lots of time in it in just 2 days. We also went to the St Andrews Aquarium and had my favorite pizza at the Old Time Pizza restaurant. I am now ready to go back to work now...a little more rested.

Hello Scrappers,

I must say I wasn't expecting this much beauty coming to Newfounland. OMG I can't wait to show you some of the gorgeous places we have visited. I have over 800 pictures taken already in only 2 full days of site seeing. It is just amazing the scenery here. The people are soooooooooooo nice and friendly. I am certainly practicing my photography skills.

The past 2 days we have driven over 400 km. We did the Irish Loop yesterday. We went Whale Watching...saw a few humpback whales, dolphins, puffins...took a picture of one of the whale's tail...so cool!!! We saw amazing water scenes...say 4 moose on the way back to St John's...and only got a picture of 2 of them. Today we drove again and saw quite a few harbours...just breath taking sceneries again. We are planning on going back to Signall Hill tomorrow...loved it so much.

I will make sure to post a few pictures when we get back home. Hope all is well with everyone.

Great Weekend!!!!

Hello Scrappers,

I can't tell you enough how refreshing this past weekend was...so great to go back home once and a while. It wasn't about the market at all...it was all about seeing new scrappers, friends, family and people I hadn't seen in soooooooooooo long. The weather was horrible, and I mean horrible, thunder, no electricity a few times, humid...but hey I got to see and chat with sooooooooooo many people I hadnt' seen in a long time...it even got emotional a few times. Thanks for everyone for stopping by my booth and saying hello.
I am on my way to putting my store back together for tomorrow morning at 10:00. We'll see how much I get done...i am so tired and I don't have much energy...even with coffee!!!!!
As soon as I can see how much products I have left, I will decide if I will send in a new order for next week. It should happen...i will let you know as soon as possible if new products are coming our way.

SHEDIAC INTERNATIONAL FLEA/CRAFT MARKET

Hello scrappers,

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!

So some of you will think I am going insane...my step-mother called me last night to ask me if I wanted to set up a booth with her at the SHEDIAC INTERNATIONAL FLEA/CRAFT MARKET. There are going to be over 600 booths. She is setting up a booth for her bird company. I still can't believe I said yes...LOL After putting my store back together yesterday, guess what I did today to get ready for Shediac...i am leaving first thing in the morning. I am actually excited about it. Being from Shediac, I am hoping to see a lot of people I haven't seen in a while.

So for those of you who are in the Shediac area, come see me in the arena. I will be set up tomorrow night from 5:00 till 10:00, Friday 8:00 to 8:00 and Saturday 8:00 to 8:00...if I am not too tired I might still be there Sunday.

Because I will be away all weekend for this event, my store will be closed. I will be open next Tuesday at 10:00. The weekly sale that was going to be this week will be next week. Sorry for any inconvenience!!!!

Amazing Day!!!!

What an amazing day last Saturday!!! AMAZING FOOD...GREAT COMPANY...GREAT SCRAPPING...EVEN A FEW CARTWHEELS IN THE PROCESS...LOL I had soooooooooo much FUN!!! I sure hope everyone had as much fun as I had. I must say I have been quite exausted the past few days...going to bed at 8:30 every night. I thing it finally caught up with me. That is why I haven't posted for over a week. Hope you can understand. I only put the store back together today...for those of you who know me, you know I must have been tired to not do it right away.

I have to give a HUGE thank you to Brenda Kernaghan for taking care of the store all day Saturday...Great Job!!!! Thank you to Melanie McCullough for helping me Friday night to get the store ready for all of you Saturday...and also helping Saturday night to pack it all up. Thank you also to Jannatta Burton for helping us pack up the store Saturday night.

AND did you girls ever eat that well at any other crop???? I know I haven't. Thank you so much Anita Doskas and Kelly Richardson for the amazing food all day. I went to bed Saturday night still full from supper...it must of been that YUMMY strawberry shortcake for desert.

GROUP 3 OF THE BOOK OF ME
How many of you never scrapbook themselves??? I was certainly one of them until I read more and more about people starting to scrapbook about themselves. I thought it was an excellent idea and it really makes me look back on the person I have become.

I started this class with 6 amazing girls who are as excited as I am to make a whole album about different things of ourselves. I have started a second group with another 6 amazing girls. I know it is soooooo much easier to scrapbook someone else but it's time to take a moment and think of us for a change. Don't you agree??? At the end, you will have finished a whole 6 x 9 album of yourselves. How cool is that???

We will have 1 class a month. The class will last for as long as we need to finish the album, around 11 months. We will use the same sketches as the other groups. The only difference will be the paper and embellishments for a few of the layouts. The topics will be the same so you can already start looking for your pictures if you are interested in taking the class. Just go on the calendar for more details.

The class will always be on a Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00. The 1st class is $20.00 because you are receiving your album and alphas. All other classes after that is $10.00. You can pre-register for this class. Details on the begining of the class will be sent in August.

Hello scrappers,

I had 2 great days in Moncton last week getting Accounting training. I have been using Simply Accounting for the past 3 years but it's always good to get a refresher course...I got lots of great tips and tricks to save time. Don't you just love that!!!!

Saturday was an amazing day for teenagers here in the community. I participated in a SCRAPBOOK FOR SELF-ESTEEM event. The girls made a scrapbook of themselves, had their hair done, manicures, pedicures, different activities...and soooooo much more. Wow!!! Thank you to everyone who made this day possible!!!! The girls sure had fun and well of course the adults too.

I was hoping for more sunshine today. AH WELL!!!! Can't change the weather right!!! I had such a wonderful day yesterday with my son. We spend most of the afternoon in St Andrews. He just loves to through rocks in the water. We went for pizza and garlic fingers and then ice cream. What a wonderful afternoon!!! and yes, I took lots and lots of pictures. Sunshine!!!!

I am looking outside as we speak and the sunshine is finally coming out. It's been cloudy and rainy pretty much all week here. Nothing else to do than scrapbook right!!!! I just love the MOTHER'S DAY BOX i made a class last night. I hope my mom is not reading my blog because she will see her gift before she gets it...lol I still have 1 more box left if you want to make a nice gift for someone.

I hope you had a wonderful NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY!!!! I sure did at the Creative Scrappers all day crop. Thanks Kristine for a wonderful day and yummy food!!! I have been to 2 crops in the last 3 weeks and have been able to get some layouts done while giving demos. Lots of fun!!!! I just love doing demos on different products. I know I have an addiction to scrapbooking products...but you know what...i am not the only one...lol I just love using Perfect Pearls that you can see on the chipboard embellishments on the sunshine layout and the wooden flower on the Paradise layout.

Hello scrappers,

Are you as tired of the rain as I am???? I thought it would be nice today. What a nasty day it was yesterday with the wind and the rain. Ah well!!! We can't let that ruin our day can we???? Let's brighten up our day by talking about scrapbooking shall we!!!!

Hello scrappers,

I finally went through all my pictures for the past 3 days. You can imagine how many I have...LOL You have already heard how much fun our retreat in St Andrews was so I thought I would send you a picture of the gang that was there. Hope you will all be able to join us for the next one!!!

Here are a few pictures of our trip to CUBA. I am sooooooooo in love with my new lens. I did not imagine that it would make that much of a difference in my pictures, but it sure did.

I have soooo much to tell you in so little time. I actually had to take a brake from classes to give you an update on all the excitement that I have had in the last week or so.

First of all, FUN...LAUGH...AWESOME GIRLS...DID I MENTION LAUGH... I cannot say enough about our 1st SCRAPBOOKING GONE WILD RETREAT. I had sooooooo much fun with everyone!!! Thank you so much to all the wonderful girls that came and made the weekend my best ever scrapbooking retreat. WILD AWESOME FOOD, WILD AWESOME COMPANY, WILD LAUGHS...AND SO MUCH MORE. One of the best thing for me during the retreat was seeing some of your faces during demos of certain products. When you get excited, I also get very excited. That is what I love about scrapbooking. I love teaching and inspiring others. As long as I am able to teach new things, I am happy. You girls outdid yourselves with all the wonderful layouts that I saw through the weekend. Make sure to go on the gallery and upload your layouts. Everyone deserves to see them. Great job everyone!!!! Thank you so much for using techniques that I demonstrated. Make sure to write on your calendar 3rd weekend in October because we are planning our 2nd retreat in St Andrews.

Talking about new techniques and new products...OMG I can't believe I am buying more products. I actually am bringing home not 1 but 2 BICK KICK machines from Sizzix. You heard right. I never really was big on dry embossing, well I have changed my mind seeing what I can do with the Bick Kick. What else???? Crafter's Workshop stencils...OMG what a great product and FUN!!! Well I guess I should go back to my class...OH I can't believe I was going to leave without telling about my lunch yesterday. I had lunch with JULIANNA HUDGINS from SIZZIX. It was soooooooo nice to meet a scrapbooking celebrity. She is sooooooo down to earth. I can't wait to tell you all about my 2 days.

I am sooooooo excited this week. My web site got new goodies added to it, tons and tons of new products in and well 2 more sleeps and we are at the ALGONQUIN for the weekend.

We have decided to add a calendar to make it soooooo much easier for you to check out what is going on for the month. CROP & CRUISE!!!

Well I finally got my computer back from the shop. That is why you didn't get any info on my amazing CROP AND CRUISE.

OK so lots of you were asking for details of my CRUISE. I had an amazing time!!!!! We started in Miami with a MIAMI CITY TOUR that finished with a boat tour. That was lots of fun!!!

Then our CRUISE began the next day. We went to Samana, Dominican Republic, St Thomas, Virgin Islands, Tortola, British Virgin Islands and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas. We met amazing people from accross Canada. I learned a few new techniques from great teachers that I am looking foward to showing you. I didn't finish most of my projects because I was also enjoying the entertainment on the cruise...LOL I did finish a few layouts and the others I will finish soon. What I did enjoy the most on my trip is all the great photography tips I got from Allison Orthner. I bought a new lens for my camera in St Thomas. I had soooooooooooo much fun playing with my camera for the rest of the cruise.

The other teachers were also great, Leica Forrest, Trisha Ladouceur, Jill Hildebrand and Deanna Hutchison. And I can't forget the fabulous Canadian Scrapbooker editors who joined as special guests, Katharina Doyle and Jackie Ludlage.
There is a possibility I will be bringing one of the teachers, Jill Hildebrand, to the NOVEMBER SCRAPBOOKING RETREAT IN ST ANDREWS to teach a few classes. I am quite excited about that. She has never been to the maritimes so she is really looking foward to the possibility of coming here.

I didn't go on any booked excursions. We shopped in St Thomas, beach day in Great Stirrup Cay, and the other 2 spots we went on tours with taxis for a few hours to visit the islands. The days we were at sea, we scrapbooked or had classes.

I just received today my package for the CRUISE. I am getting sooooo excited now. My trip will start with a Miami City Tour, Miami Beach, Miami Downtown, Coral Gables, Coconut Groove and Little Havana. How fun is that!!!! We are also going to take a boat tour where we will enjoy seeing the houses of the rich and famous at Miami Bay.

Then our CRUISE starts. We are going to 4 islands, Samana, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, Tortola, British Virgin Islands and Great Stirrup cay in Bahamas. I will be taking lots of classes including an acrylic album class that I am super excited about. I already have acrylic albums put aside for a class that I will be giving in the near future. Check for class updates. I will also be taking photography lessons. For those of you who know me soooooooo well, you know that I will certainly enjoy this. I can't wait to give you all the details and show you lots of pictures when I come back.

Just a reminder that the STORE WILL BE CLOSED THURSDAY FEBRUARY 19th TO SATURDAY FEBRUARY 28th. Don't hesitate to call if you need products from now until then if you can't come during regular hours.

Let it Snow!!!

Hello Scrappers,

I just love doing 1 page layouts!!!! This has to be one of my favorite layouts yet. I used the http://www.blackriverdesigns.ca/blackriver/ pattern papers. I just love it. I also chalked the snowflakes and added glimmer mist to make them sparkle a bit. It's hard to see in the picture but it looks pretty cool. The title was custom made by http://www.creative-expressions.ca/. It works like a rubon but it's vinyl. It's pretty impressive. I also got the title from Priceless custom made by the same company.

If you didn't get a chance to come to the Priceles class or didn't sign up for Let it Snow, I do have extra titles from both layouts for sale at the store. Actually if you add a comment to this post, you will have a chance to win 1 of those titles. You can pick it up at the store when you drop in. So hurry, add a comment to my blog!!! Don't be shy!!! Hello scrappers,

Are you tired of this snow yet??? I know I'm starting to!!! We are also supposed to have more tomorrow. I think we have enough, we don't have any room for more...LOL

I am happy to see that registration for our retreat is going well. But we do need a few more to be able to go ahead with the retreat. I need a minimum of 35 people for the price we are offering. If you think you might be coming but you are not sure, just send me an e-mail to let me know you're interested. This will give me an idea of how many I can expect. Thanks so much!!!

I should be receiving new products this week. Fancy Pants, Basic Grey and My minds Eye are on its way. Wait till you see the new products!!! They certainly didn't disapointment me this time.

I added another class for this month. Since it is the month of LOVE ( Valentine), I thought we should do a layout of ourselves and our loved one. This class will be a 1 page layout called I LOVE YOU. I will be using the Scenic Route paper and also My Little bit of Whimsy heart buttons. They are soooooooo adorable. It will be on Thursday February 12 at 6:30. Just send me an e-mail to register. Because of another event at the Algonquin, I had to change the date for our retreat. It all gives us an extra week to get ready for it. So it's going to be March 20th, 21th and 22th.

It's official girls. We are having our very first SCRAPBOOKING GONE WILD RETREAT at the ALGONQUIN in ST ANDREWS. Did you ever see the FAIRMONT ALGONQUIN??? It is just gorgeous and the food is amazing!!! You will not want to miss this special weekend!!!!

All packages include the following hours for crop time: Friday, 6pm-midnight, Saturday, 8am-midnight and Sunday, 8am-2pm. The following pricing options are available based on your choice of accommodations. Hello scrappers,

Are you thinking what can I do Saturday all day??? Well I have just the think for you!!! I will be attending a scrapbook cropping day in St Andrews as a vendor. I will be bringing lots of my products for everyone to see.

The event is hosted by the Church of St Andrews Ladies Guild. It is held at the Catholic Church Parish Centre at 210 Parr St. It will be from 9am-5pm. You can still register at 529-9020 or 529-3790 and speak to Mary Jones. Hope to see you there!!!

Because I will be attending this event, my store will be closed tomorrow. Sorry for any inconvenience. I should be home later tomorrow afternoon. If you need some products, just give me a call and we can make arrangements.

I am soooooooo excited to be able to announce that SCRAPBOOKING GONE WILD will be hosting our very own scrapbooking RETREAT at the ALGONQUIN in ST ANDREWS. Did you ever see the FAIRMONT ALGONQUIN??? It is just gorgeous and the food in amazing!!! You will not want to miss this special weekend!!!!

Details are still in the works but I can give a few at the moment. I had a meeting with the sales manager yesterday and all I can say is WOW!!!! It is going to be sooooooooo much fun!!! We will have one of their biggest convention rooms for the entire weekend to scrapbook amongs friends and family. We will be bringing the store with us along with some goodie bags and lots of door prizes that are already on order as we speak. We will be giving demonstrations through the weekend and a few classes will also be offered on Saturday. I am already thinking of a few special suprises also that you won't want to miss.

Now you must be asking yourself, OK, now what's the price???? Well all I can say right now is that included in the package will be:

Book of Me!!!

How many of you never scrapbook themselves??? I was certainly one of them until I read more and more about people starting to scrapbook about themselves. I thought it was an excellent idea and it really makes me look back on the person I have become. I started this class with 6 amazing girls who are as excited as I am to make a whole album about different things of ourselves. I know it is soooooo much more easy to scrapbook someone else but it's time to take a minute and think of us for a change. Don't you agree??? Here are the first 3 layouts we have done. It is a working progress. At the end we will have finished a whole 6 x 9 album of ourselves. How cool is that???

Well I have decided to repeat this class because so many of you have asked if I was going to give it again. I just received the albums so we can start the class soon. We have 1 class a month. The class will last 10 months because there is 10 layouts to finish the whole album. We will use the same sketches for the second class. The only difference will be that we will use different paper and maybe different embellishments. The topics will also be the same so you can already start looking for your pictures if you are interested in taking the class.

I don't have a starting date yet, but I was thinking of starting this class in March. January is already filled up and I only have 2 1/2 weeks of classes in February because I will be going on the CROP and CRUISE.

I will start taking registration for this class now so you can start getting ready for it. I know some of you don't enjoy getting your pictures takin but I think it's going to be fun. The first class is $20.00 and all classes after that are $10.00/month.

Happy New Year everyone!!!

I am soooooooo looking foward to 2009 with this new adventure of mine. I never thought I would get a chance to do something everyday that I am truly passionate about: scrapbooking. I am working on all the classes coming up in January and February. It feels great to be able to scrapbook again. I hadn't scrapbooked since October...just too busy with the opening of the store and my carpal tunnel surgery. Nothing is stopping me now!!!!

Did you all get lots of Scrapbooking supplies for Christmas??? I sure hope so. I still have spots for this FRIDAY NIGHT CROP TILL YOU DROP from 6:00pm to midnight. All you need to do is send me an e-mail to keep your spot. Come and join us. We'll have lots of fun!!!!

Make sure to bring your Basic Kit (Trimmer, adhesive, scissors, pencil...) for all classes and your ink pads. I also posted a picture of the supplies we will use for the Christmas album. As soon as the other projects are done, I will post a picture so you can see the finished products.

Just to give you an idea of upcoming classes in February and March... Love album, Home cubes, another Book of Me class, Travel mini album, another Heritage layout, Smile layout and winter layout. Is this enough or do you want more...LOL I don't think I could handle more!!!

Well my surgery went well!!!! I am glad it is done now. I can gradually start using my hand. It is still a bit sore but it's getting there.

I am soooooooooooo looking foward to start scrapbooking again... maybe next week. I will try to get all the projects done as soon as possible for all the classes for January. I will post pictures as soon as they are done. I have quite a few classes in the New Year.
